On the afternoon of October 28, the fifth all English teaching competition of medical college was held in 2105 of medical college. After the preliminary selection and recommendation of various departments, 6 teachers finally entered the college semi-finals, and some young teachers observed and studied the whole process. The competition was highly valued by the leaders of the college. Shen Xuemei, Secretary of the Party committee of the medical college, personally visited the scene, mobilized and encouraged the contestants, called on young teachers to actively study, consolidate basic teaching skills and show the style of teachers of the medical college.
Senior professors from the medical college were invited to serve as the competition. The atmosphere at the competition site was active. The participating teachers expressed fluently in English. They made full use of courseware, clinical cases and other teaching means, which fully demonstrated the teaching characteristics of medical courses and the teaching charm of teachers. After fierce competition, teacher Ye Yang won the title, teacher Tian Jie and teacher Wang Junjie won the second prize, and teacher Wang Haoran, teacher Zhou Yinghua and teacher Zhao Rui won the third prize.
After the competition, the judges commented on each contestant from the aspects of teaching design, competition content, curriculum thought and politics. Gong Aihua, vice president of the medical college, made a concluding speech on the competition, affirmed the on-site performance of young teachers, and proposed that more teaching activities will be held in the future to actively build an exchange and learning platform for teachers of the medical college. The competition has played a powerful role in improving teachers' English teaching level and skills, mobilizing teachers' teaching enthusiasm and further improving the quality of medical education for foreign students in China.
