Recently, the 10th Physiology Quiz of China was successfully concluded in Xuzhou Medical University. After four rounds of fierce competition, the School of Medicine of Jiangsu University organized a team of Chinese and foreign medical students to participate in the competition, and finally won the first prize with excellent results, showing the outstanding demeanor of medical students of Jiangsu University.
This competition is the outpost competition of the prestigious International Physiology Competition (IMSPQ) in China, which is co-sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the Chinese Physiology Knowledge Contest and the Jiangsu Physiological Science Society. The content of the competition not only covers the basic theory of physiology, but also covers basic medicine, clinical thinking and international academic frontiers, and comprehensively examines the participants' professional knowledge reserves, English application ability and comprehensive quality. It is reported that the scale of this competition hit a record high, and the preliminary round attracted nearly 3,000 students from more than 100 universities at home and abroad, including Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University and Seoul National University in South Korea, and finally 31 universities organized a total of 48 teams to participate in the finals held at Xuzhou Medical University.

The School of Medicine carefully organized and passed two rounds of written examinations and interviews in English, and finally selected 5 outstanding students from more than 100 preliminary contestants to form the Jiangsu University team for the finals, including Wang Zhichao and Wang Guan, 2022 clinical medicine, and MBBS students Kshitij Surinder Rana and Satyendra from the School of Overseas Education Singh and Abdullah Cheikh Souk.

Under the careful guidance of the coaching team, the participating players underwent several months of systematic training. In the competition, the team members relied on solid professional skills, excellent English proficiency and tacit teamwork, all the way through, and after four rounds of fierce competition, they finally won the first prize of the competition with excellent results.


This award fully reflects the outstanding results of our medical education and the characteristics of international education. The school will continue to support students to participate in high-level subject competitions, and looks forward to the team's success in future international competitions and greater honors for the school.
