On 16 November , the International Medical Students Association (IMSA) at Jiangsu University hosted the White Coat Ceremony for first-year MBBS, BDS, and Pharmacy students at Library Auditorium . This milestone event marked the students’ formal induction into the healthcare profession. The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including Dr. Xu Xiao, Patron of IMSA Mr. Wang Bin, Vice Dean of the Overseas Education College; Dr. Yang Xihu, Chief Dentist; and Dr. Jia Jue, Chief Endocrinologist. Each guest delivered inspiring speeches, offering invaluable advice on starting a medical journey, emphasizing the importance of integrity, dedication, and compassion. The highlight of the event was the ceremonial donning of white coats, where teachers helped students wear their coats as a symbol of their commitment to the healthcare profession. Following this, the students recited the Hippocratic Oath, pledging to uphold ethical practices and prioritize patient welfare throughout their careers.
To make the day even more memorable, IMSA presented all the students with specially prepared gift hampers, a thoughtful gesture to celebrate this significant milestone. The event concluded with a joyful photo session, capturing both group and individual photographs for the MBBS, BDS, and Pharmacy students.
