The Department of Preventative Medicine prepares the students for their ability of applying macroscopic perspective in medical domain. Teaching and research are focused on issues of more than ten subjects, including: Preventative Medicine, Epidemiology, Medical Statistics, Method of Medical Scientific Research, General Practice, Clinical Epidemiology, Health Promotion, etc.
The subject set up will help a lot in developing students’ ability of data handling and scientific researching. Moreover, the subjects will provide the students of the thoughts of combining the various influential factors (such as food and environment) with the routine medical knowledge.
In recent years, this department has made great efforts in scientific research concerning the National Health Service Reform and the health service problem virtually existed. And these has finally brought honor to the department.
The department currently has 9 teachers on the job. Among which, there are 2 professors, 3 vice-professors and the others each have a intermediate professional title. In addition, 7 of them have an academic degree of doctor or master and 4 are post-graduate tutors, several of them have an experience of being scholar in the United States, Hungary or Finland.
With the efforts of the whole department, we believe that more will be done to help the students.
