To further guide students to enhance their sense of discipline, improve their motivation to study and ensure the smooth implementation of the 2021 Winter Vacation Overseas Study Program, on January 5, the School of Medicine organized an online counselling meeting before the 2021 Winter Vacation Overseas Study Program, which was hosted by Cao Yanbin, a counsellor of the School of Medicine, and attended by 11 students from all batches who had enrolled in the overseas program.
Miss Cao firstly introduced the enrolment status of the 2021 winter break overseas programs in the School of Medicine. 8 students were enrolled in the Medical and Life Sciences program at the National University of Singapore, 2 students were enrolled in the General English or Academic English program at the University of Queensland, and 1 student was enrolled in the Health Sciences and Communication Skills program at the University of Adelaide. Miss Cao also pointed out that active participation in overseas programmes was of great significance to broaden international horizons and improve professional learning and English proficiency. Afterwards, Miss Cao explained seven aspects, including improving political standing, observing classroom discipline, paying attention to the online etiquettes, completing study assignments on time, reporting problems through normal channels, reimbursement of study expenses and preparing hardware facilities, etc. She also hoped that students would have a correct attitude towards their studies, increase their enthusiasm for learning, actively uphold the good image of students from Jiangsu University School of Medicine and strive to learn and achieve. At the end of the session, students exchanged and interacted with each other, and the online pre-course counselling session came to an end.
