In order to promote the development of basic and transformation research in the field of cell biology in China, promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation among researchers and jointly explore key scientific issues, the Chinese Society of Cell Biology, the Shanghai Society of Cell Biology, the Zhejiang Society of Cell Biology, the Anhui Society of Cell Biology, and the Jiangsu Province Society of Cell Biology and Development The 6th Yangtze River Delta Forum on Cell Biology and Jinshan Forum on Metabolism and Microenvironment Regulation, sponsored by Jiangsu Society of Cell and Developmental Biology and Jiangsu University, was held in Jiangsu University from 10 to 12 May 2019.
The opening ceremony was held at 8:30 a.m. on May 11 at Mingdu Hotel in Zhenjiang. Professor Gong Aihua, Vice dean of Medical College of Jiangsu University, presided over the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, Professor Xu Wenrong, Dean of Medical College of Jiangsu University, first made a welcome speech. He said that cell biology is the frontier subject of medicine, and the development of the subject can not be separated from the joint efforts of the experts present. At the same time, he briefly introduced the history, discipline construction and superior specialties of our university, and expressed heartfelt thanks to all experts who care, support and care for the development of Medical College of Jiangsu University, and wished the conference a complete success.

Then, the president of the conference, Professor Zhu Minsheng of Nanjing University, made a speech. He expressed his hope that the Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Forum of Cell Biology would be better and more influential with time . He thanked the Yangtze River Delta Society of "Three Provinces and One City" for its strong support for the conference, and also highly praised the thoughtful arrangement and warm reception of the Medical College of Jiangsu University and wish the conference a complete success.
The conference invited 12 famous experts from the Yangtze River Delta region, such as Changjiang scholars, Jieqing and Youqing, to make a report. Around the theme of "Metabolism and Microenvironment Regulation", the current international and domestic research hotspots were extensively discussed and exchanged, which promoted the transformation of basic scientific research achievements in the field of cell biology into clinical applications. Chen Zhengjun, Research Fellow, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Shi Qinghua, University of Science and Technology of China, Professor Shao Jianzhong, Zhejiang University and Professor Han Xiao, Nanjing Medical University, chaired the forum successively.
After the special invitation report, Professor Li Chaojun, Vice-President of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology and Professor of Nanjing University, made a summary of the conference, reviewed his experience in attending previous conferences, expressed thanks on behalf of the experts who actively participated in the conference, highly praised the development of cell biology in the Yangtze River Delta region, and looked forward to working together in the future and create brilliance together.
