On June 19, 2019, the 2nd National MBBS Project Young Teachers'English Teaching Exhibition was held in Qingdao International Academician Port. Forty-five teachers from 45 MBBS medical colleges and universities in China participated in the teaching demonstration. Professor Zhou Zhengrong of the Department of Histology and Embryology of our college won the third prize on behalf of the Medical College of Jiangsu University. Four teachers of the Medical College were present in the venue to observe.
The MBBS Young Teachers'English Teaching Exhibition is the only national competition for medical English teaching in China. It is sponsored by the China Education International Exchange Association directly under the Ministry of Education. Forty-five medical colleges and universities accredited by the Ministry of Education have selected outstanding young teachers to participate in the national competition for medical English teaching. The competition comprising of basic and clinical teaching represents the highest level of English teaching in the national MBBS program. In preparation for the presentation, Ms. Zhou received strong support from the leaders of the College, the Overseas Education College, the Histology & Embryo Teaching and Research Department and the prize winner in the first session of the competiton . During the competition the rhythm was well controlled, the knowledge points were comprehensive, the English expression was fluent, the courseware was beautifully made, which was highly recognized by judges and experts, and led to the winning of the third prize. After Professor Xu Xiao of the Pharmacology Teaching and Research Department of our college won the second prize in the first session of MBBS Young Teachers'English Teaching Competition in 2016, Professor Zhou Zhengrong made great achievements again, winning honors for the college, repeatedly reflecting the solid professional foundation of our young teachers, and providing a strong guarantee for our overseas students' education to achieve the goal of improving quality and efficiency.
